28 members of the military, including 4 former generals, are on trial for the massacre at Pucará in 1989. The prosecutor is asking for 20 years in prison for all the accused.
On 4 November 1989, 8 civilians in Pucará, Junin, were shot at close range by a group of around 30 soldier who accused them of belonging to the Shining Path.
